The purpose of this blog is to facilitate the implementation of Greg Mortenson and David Relin's NY Times bestseller, Three Cups of Tea, into NH high school curricula. Thanks to the generosity of the Oristano Family Foundation and the Cricenti Foundation, 4,000+ copies of the book have been donated to NH and FL classrooms. We hope for this blog to be the "go-to" for lesson plan and project ideas for all interested educators... "one school at a time."

Three Cups of Tea Symposium 2008--Don't miss it!
Save the Date--November 13th! Please see the invitation for the "NH Three Cups of Tea Initiative: Fall Symposium 2008" posted to the blog. Because of the continued generosity of the Oristano Family Foundation and the Cricenti Foundation, our NH project is expanding. Please come share your experiences teaching with Three Cups of Tea in the classroom...or come to learn new ways to incorporate it. Feel free to bring a colleague who is interested in joining the project! Join us Thursday, November 13th from 4:00-8:00 at the Flagship Room in the Chase House (Inns at Mills Falls) for dinner and an evening of sharing inspiration for the classroom, as we find new ways to share Greg Mortenson's message of peace. Questions? Call Heather at 569-0221. Want to register? Call Joanne or Michelle at 569-1658. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity!

Due to technical difficulties (on my part), I am not able to post the invitation right now. It was created in Publisher and I'll need to do a little homework to get it to post as it is...in the meantime, save the date (11/13/08, 4:00-8:00 pm)! Sorry for the trouble.
If you are currently using Three Cups of Tea in your classroom, or you have a colleague who wishes to do so...please register for our "Three Cups of Tea Symposium" coming up in just two weeks! If you need a copy of the invitation emailed to you with all of the details, please send your request to Heather at hcummings@govwentworth.k12.nh.us Don't miss it!
Thank you Heather (and Kathy for hosting). It was a great discussion last night. I am looking forward to moving forward on this project. We really touched on a lot of different ways Three Cups of Tea could be incorporated into a curriculum: social issues, history, ecology, adventure-learning, service.... So much potential!
