NH Proudly Welcomes Greg Mortenson

In addition to the continuing curriculum development work around Three Cups of Tea, educators who are part of "NH Serving Three Cups of Tea" are honored to welcome Greg Mortenson to New Hampshire this coming March.
Since the Oristano Family Foundation and the Cricenti Trust generously donated over 1700 copies of Three Cups of Tea to NH schools in collaboration with the NHSAA/Lakes Region Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Committee, it has been the hope of all involved that Mr. Mortenson would accept an invitation to come to the Granite State. We are thrilled to be welcoming him for a speaking engagement on March 5, 2010 at Exeter High School, our host site for the event.

Could you provide more information regarding this project? We are currently implementing a community-wide Pennies for Peace campaign in Portsmouth during the months October and November 2009 leading up to Mr. Mortenson's lecture at The Music Hall on December 4, 2009. We have a few Portsmouth schools participating in the campaign. It would be nice to link them to this project as well.

Hi! I am currently working with a small group of 7/8 students using the adult version of Three Cups of Tea. We were fortunate to see Mr. Mortenson in Portsmouth last weekend, and I think some of my students may be interested in meeting with him again in Exeter. Our goal is to implement a Pennies project starting in Jan. so this would be good timing. I have subscribed to posts and wonder if there is any other ways to connect with teachers.
Thank you,

I read Three Cups of Tea to my third grade students. They loved it. It was a great experience for all of us. We are currently working on publishing a book for Greg. It would be great to present it to him. Are there tickets available to the event? Please let me know.

My colleague and I have taught a unit on Islam to our 7th graders and our students are currently reading Three Cups of Tea. They are excited to begin our pennies for peace campaign. I was unable to get tickets to see Greg Mortenson at the Music Hall. Is there anyway to get tickets for his Exeter engagement?

I loved Three Cups of Tea and now I am reading Greg's new book Stones Into Schools. I am a kindergarten teacher in Derry, NH and would love to start a campaign in my school to support Pennies for Peace. I would love to attend the Exeter Event. Please forward any information.

Thank you so much.

Rundlett Middle School in Concord has been organizing a whole-school read of the Young readers edition for March and April 2010. We will have many community activities to go along with this. Are there any tickets left for the March 5th engagement at Exeter?
